APAC Standards

Since 2005, APAC has been the national accrediting authority responsible for the assessment and accreditation of courses of study recognised as suitable training for registration as a psychologist in Australia.

The APAC Rules and Standards can be downloaded using the links listed below, and include comprehensive information about the requirements for accreditation and APAC’s processes of assessment.

APAC only accredits courses on application.

Please note that the submission of an application for accreditation must be made through the Head of Psychology. To avoid delays in processing applications and scheduling assessments, please ensure you are using the current version of the APAC Standards which are updated periodically. Relevant forms are available under Application Information and Processes.
