Craig Gonsalvez is a clinical psychologist by training and is currently Professor in Clinical Psychology at the School of Social Sciences and Psychology, Western Sydney University. He has considerable experience as a clinical psychologist, academic, educator and researcher. He has been actively involved in education and training of psychologists for more than 20 years, has served as Chair of Course Approvals for the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society (2005-10), and has received several awards for his contributions to practitioner training and clinical supervision.
Craig's include the Australian Psychological Society’s Award of Distinction for contributions to Clinical Psychology in 2009, an Australian Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning in 2016, and a National Award for Teaching Excellence in 2017 presented by the Australian Awards for University Teaching.
As a researcher, he has been the recipient of several national research grants, and is widely published with major contributions to the areas of clinical supervision and competency-based training.
